This urban park totals 640
acres of land. Within the park's boundaries are three
regulation golf courses.

Two 18 hole miniature golf
courses, bumper boats, a water slide, batting cages, a large
video-arcade, and even a Ferris wheel.

Courreges Ranch - 8572
Talbert Ave.
Home of Roch Courreges, a Basque sheep rancher who came to the area
in 1878 from San Francisco. In 1896, he purchased 80 acres of land.
He founded First National Bank of Huntington Beach, the Smeltzer
Telephone Co. and the Farmer's Cannery. The water-tank house built
in 1898, and the main house, built in 1912, still are standing. the
ranch is not open to the public. |
